Firefighters in Wilbraham, Massachusetts used a drone to locate a missing juvenile. According to their Facebook post, the crew dispatched a drone at 7:40 AM on February 14, 2024. While we have no details about the drone in use, the image included with the post appears to be an infrared thermal photograph, which would be standard equipment for search and rescue operations.
Their 4-person drone crew has been dispatched over a dozen times in the last year, proving drones to be a valuable tool for the town of approximately 14,000 people on the outskirts of Springfield, Massachusetts.
